November Information

December Schedules are due by November 15th. They can be found on the blog under "Current Documents" or in Youthville.

YAC will be meeting on Wednesday, November 4th from 4 to 6pm. YouthALIVE! will meet on Wednesday, November 14th from 4 to 5pm. Please check your e-mails for any updates/changes.

Seasongood will be meeting on Wednesday, November 11th from 5:30 to 6:30pm in the Westin Conference Room. This month's guest speaker will be Erin Rolfes, PR Manager for REDI Cincinnati. Please e-mail Youth Programs or text the Youth Cell to confirm your attendance to this meeting.

CHM YOUTH - There are several of you that have not yet attended Holiday Junction Training. Remember, if you have not passed Ground Phase or you have not attended one(1) training session, you will not be scheduled on the floor from Friday, November 6th to Sunday, January 3rd.

DECM YOUTH - Mandatory Supplemental Training will be on Sunday, November 22nd from 10am to 12:30pm. Please contact Youth Programs if you will not be in attendance.

The 2015-2016 Youth Programs Calendar is now available on the blog under "Current Documents". Please note that the calendar will be updated as more events are added or dates are changed. Please refer to this calendar for upcoming Youth Programs events and trips. Events in purples are YAC, YouthAlive!, Seasongood or Youth Programs specific events. Events in red are CMC events. Events in orange pertain to new youth events. Museum specific events are distinguished by blue (CHM), yellow (DECM) and green (MNHS).

Special Museum Hours during the Holidays - CMC will be closed on Thursday, November 26 for Thanksgiving. It will be open on Friday, November 27th and Saturday, November 28th until 6pm. On Thursday, December 24th, CMC closes at 3pm. CMC will be closed on Friday, December 25th for Christmas. CMC will be open from Saturday, December 26th to Thursday, December 31st until 6pm. Holiday Junction is open every Saturday until 8pm.

If you would like to work any special hours, please indicate them on your schedule request. You will not be allowed to work on the floor longer than your usual shift. Example: If you are in the history museum and want to work until 8pm on a Saturday, you would arrive at 2:45pm and your shift would begin at 3. If you would like to work until 6pm, you would arrive at 12:45pm and your shift would begin at 1. We will need extra help after the holidays (both Thanksgiving and Christmas), so please be sure to let us know on your schedule request if you can work late.

We have noticed an increase of youth using e-mail to call in for their shifts lately. This is a reminder that you must always call-in for your shift on the hotline, whether it is a week before or a day before your scheduled shift. You can also e-mail  as a backup, but all calls in for your shift should be to the hotline or else you will be counted as a no-show. Calls in less than an hour before your scheduled shift will also be counted as a no-show. If you are running late the day of your shift, please call the youth cell phone.

LOOKING AHEAD - The YouthAlive! Holiday Dinner will be taking place on Wednesday, December 16th from 6 to 9pm. Please RSVP by Monday, November 30th. This year, it will be an all-potluck event, so please look out for an e-mail regarding the dinner and what we would like everyone to bring.
