Note: Want to take a practice ACT test? Sign up by email to youthprograms@cincymuseum.org by saying you would like to sign up. We will then email you instructions on what to bring and meet.
Youth Alive! First Meeting and Open House
YA! will be starting up again this year! Ms. Britney has taken over YA! full time. Many more events to happen.
When's the first meeting?- October 9th from 4-6pm in Youthville (pizza provided)
What is YA!?- you get to plan a community, college, or career event for other youth. You get a month and some ideas on what to plan. You get to make the professional phone calls and emails to different contacts to plan something for your fellow Youth. Its great training on professionalism, resumes, and you get to decide what you and your fellow Youth would like to plan a community, college, or career event around!
For example, one youth took us on a tour of NKU campus and we got to meet their Museum Studies professor and see their basketball game. Another made a community service night to volunteer at the shelter Gabriel's Place. Some pictures of all the fun we have are below!

Interested in Art, creativity, and/or competitions?
Join the Teen Art Expo at the Cincinnati Art Museum! We are currently looking for a group of dedicated teen volunteers who will help put together the Teen Art Expo in 2020. This 10x10 Team is open to anyone from grades 7-12. (many YP youth did this last year and really enjoyed it, we also had one youth who won as well!)
Select applicants will be interviewed and 10 will be chosen to be a part of the team.
Some responsibilities include: selecting artwork to be a part of the show, organizing programs around the expo, and creating materials to promote the expo.
Deadline to apply is October 1st
Applicants for the 10x10 Team must:
be available to come to the museum on Thursdays from 4-6pm. Have a passion for art. Have good communication and organization skills. Be able to share their opinion about art.
Just interested in submitting artwork to the Expo?
The Cincinnati Art Museum is looking for talented, young artists, grades 7–12, to display their work at our 10x10: Teen Art Expo.
Just create a work of art on paper that measures 10 inches by 10 inches. This year’s theme is "Dreams." Whether you’re asleep or awake, we all have dreams. Show us how you interpret your dreams into a visual concept.
No frames or mats allowed. All artwork must be submitted through our online form to be considered. 100 works will be displayed. Online submissions will open on October 15th.
