Cincinnati Art Museum Supplemental Training (Mandatory for CAM youth)

This is a mandatory training for CHM and MNHS youth. We will review upcoming information that is important to your time working at the Art Museum.
Cincinnati Mini Maker Faire:
Date: October 7 & 8
Shift Times: 10:30-3:00, 12-5:30, or all day
Location: Hamilton County Fairgrounds, 7700 Vine Street, Cincinnati OH 45216
Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these "makers" to show hobbies, experiments, projects. We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth - a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. Glimpse the future and get inspired!

Youth needed: 5-10, any
department as long as they are comfortable with the below responsibilities
Responsibilities: help with DECM
related art/maker programming, filling water balloons, monitoring large scale
games and activities

BLINK:
Date: October 12th
Location: Street Car route, drop off for the parade will be somewhere around Findlay Market
Shift Times: 6:30pm-9:30pm (to be confirmed)
BLINK, October 12th to the 15th 2017, is
expected to be one of the largest light, art and projection mapping events in
the nation. The four-day event will feature large-scale projection mapping
installations, murals, urban artscapes, media light and interactive art in
Cincinnati, OH. BLINK will span 20 city blocks, from Cincinnati's Banks to
Findlay Market. Food and beverages will also be available. BLINK is free
and open to the public - no tickets are required.
Responsibilities: Walking for
1-2 miles in a parade, in the dark with CMC staff. Will be carrying props that light up.
Please dress in black.

Astronaut Lecture- Scott Kelly
Date: October 25
Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm
Location: Walnut Hills High School
Youth will lead NASA themed activities from 6:30pm-7:20pm before the lecture. We will hold tickets to the lecture for the youth that lead the activities. 5 tickets available. Must have knowledge of some of our NASA themed programming (Straw Rockets, Parashutes, Orbiting Objects, My Sky Tonight, etc.), or ability to pick up information quickly.
