March Information


  • April Schedules are due by March 15th. They can be found on the blog under "Current Documents" or in Youthville.
  • YAC will meet on Wednesday, March 2nd from 4 to 6pm. The focus will be on Family Night. Youth that are presenting at Family Night should also attend to do a walk through of the evening
  • YouthALIVE! will meet on Wednesday, February 9th from 4 to 5pm. We will be finalizing the trip to Indiana and Illinois
  • Omni is on Wednesday, March 16th from 4 to 6pm. Remember, it is a mandatory meeting. Please be sure to let staff know if you cannot attend as well as your reason for missing the meeting.
  • CHM YOUTH - You have a supplemental training this Sunday, March 6th from 10 to 12:30pm. Please let Youth Programs staff know if you are not able to attend.
  • Check information regarding CMC's latest exhibit and procedures for requesting comp tickets here!
  • Family Night will be on Friday, March 11th from 6 to 9pm. Thank you to everyone who has sent their RSVPs and agreed to present or be a part of our parent/guardian panel. We look forward to seeing you on the 11th!
  • DECM YOUTH - The Learning through Play Conference is on Saturday, March 12th and Sunday, March 13th. Because staff will be involved with programming for the event, extra help will be needed to cover the floor. Please be sure to let us know via e-mail or on your schedule request calendar if you are able to work.
  • Volunteers are needed for the Learning Through Play Conference throughout the museum as well. If you are available, please e-mail Youth Programs and let us know. If you are already working that day, it is possible that your respective museum coordinators may schedule you to help, so keep an eye out on the Google calendar. 
    9:45-10:15 (wayfinding, up to 4 youth)
    10:30-11 (wayfinding, up to 4 youth)
    12:45-1:15 (wayfinding, up to 4 youth)
    2:30-3 (wayfinding, up to 4 youth)
    4-5 (tear down, as many as possible!)
  • This year's College Tour will be to Indiana and Illinois from March 29th to March 31st. The application is now available on the blog under "Current Documents" The application is due on March 16th (at Omni) and youth will be notified of their participation by Sunday, March 20th.
  • LOOKING AHEAD...MNHS Nano Days is on Saturday, April 2nd. Extra help will needed on the floor, so please be sure to indicate on your schedule request if you can work that day.
  • LOOKING AHEAD...DECM Supplemental Training is on Sunday, April 3 from 10 to 12:30p. It is your responsibility to let Youth Programs staff know if you cannot attend or else you will be counted as a no-show.
  • LOOKING AHEAD...MNHS Light Out Cave Tours on Saturday, April 16th and Sunday, April 17th. If you are interested in leading tours on either day, please make sure you circle those days on your schedule request.
  • LOOKING AHEAD...World Culture Weekend is on Saturday, April 23rd and Sunday, April 24th. More details to follow about volunteering specifically for the event.
