January Schedules are due by December 15th. They can be found on the blog under "Current Documents" or in Youthville.
YAC will be meeting on Wednesday, December 2nd from 4 to 6pm. YouthALIVE! will meet on Wednesday, December 9th from 4 to 5pm. Please check your e-mails for any updates/changes.
Seasongood will be meeting on Wednesday, December 9th from 5:30 to 6:30pm in the North Volunteer Lounge. This month's guest speaker will be Luke Blocher, Deputy City Solicitor for Economic & Community Development at the City of Cincinnati. Please e-mail Youth Programs or text the Youth Cell to confirm your attendance to this meeting.
Omni is on Wednesday, December 16th from 4 to 6pm. We will have guests from the University of Cincinnati hosting a Financial Literacy Workshop that day.
Special Museum Hours during the Holidays - On Thursday, December 24th, CMC closes at 3pm. CMC will be closed on Friday, December 25th for Christmas. CMC will be open from Saturday, December 26th to Sunday, January 3rd until 6pm. Holiday Junction and The Art of the Brick are open every Saturday until 8pm.
If you would like to work any special hours, please indicate them on your schedule request. You will not be allowed to work on the floor longer than your usual shift. Example: If you are in the history museum and want to work until 8pm on a Saturday, you would arrive at 2:45pm and your shift would begin at 3. If you would like to work until 6pm, you would arrive at 12:45pm and your shift would begin at 1. We will need extra help after the holidays, so please be sure to let us know on your schedule request if you can work late.

Thank you to everyone who gave gifts for the Lighthouse Happy Holidays Campaign this year! Please remember that gifts are due by November 9th to Youthville. There are still a few youth left to be adopted. If you are still interested, please review the updated list here!
If you are interested working Day Camps over the Winter Break, there is a training that you will need to attend on Sunday, December 13th from 10 to 11:30am. You must attend this training to work the day camps over Winter Break.
The YouthAlive! Holiday Dinner will be taking place on Wednesday, December 16th from 6 to 9pm. Please RSVP by Wednesday, December 2nd. This year, it will be an all-potluck event, so please look out for an e-mail regarding the dinner once you have responded and what we would like everyone to bring.
On Saturday, December 19th from 10:30 to 2pm, the youth from the Freedom Center's new docent class will be touring the Museum Center as part of their training. Some youth have already had their schedules changed in order to lead tours that day, but there will be an opportunity to have lunch with the docents from 12:30 to 2:30. If you are interested in joining the lunch or helping out during the day, please send an e-mail to Youth Programs.
LOOKING AHEAD - Winter Solstice will take place at CMC on Saturday, December 19th and Sunday, December 20th.
LOOKING AHEAD - International New Year's Eve will be take place at CMC on Thursday, December 31.
LOOKING AHEAD - Celebrate the Dream Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration will take place at CMC on Monday, January 18th.
LOOKING AHEAD - The YAC Winter Overnight will take place from Saturday, January 23rd at 6pm to Sunday, January 24th to 9am. More information to follow!
