Septrmber Information

  • October Schedules are due by September 15th. They can be found on the blog under "Current Documents" or in Youthville.
  • YAC will be meeting on Wednesday, September 2nd from 4 to 6pm. YouthALIVE! will meet on Wednesday, September 9th from 4 to 5pm and Seasongood will meet from 5 to 6pm. Please check your e-mails for any updates/changes.
  • The Science of Sports exhibit ends on Monday, September 7th. If you have not had a chance to visit it yet, be sure you do before it ends! Admission to the exhibit is included with your membership or All Museum Pass.
  • Our next Free Friday is on September 11th from 4 to 8pm. If you have not signed up already, please make sure you send an e-mail to Youth Programs staff letting us know that you are available on that day. The remaining date for Free Friday is October 23rd so you can plan ahead.
  • Cincinnati Museum Center has a booth and this year's Comicon to promote The Art of the Brick, the upcoming exhibit. Comicon will take place on Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. More information can be found here. If you would like to join CMC staff and adult volunteers, let us know if you are available for the following time slots: Saturday 9am to 2pm, Saturday 2pm to 7pm, Sunday 10am to 1:30pm or Sunday, 1:30pm to 6:30pm (includes breakdown).
  • The 6th Annual Cincinnati Multicultural Scholarship Fair will take place in the rotunda of the Cincinnati Museum Center on Wednesday, September 16th from 10am to 2pm. This fair gives students the opportunity to meet with college admission reps face to face and possibly be given scholarships on the spot.   • On Wednesday, September 23rd, Best Buy will be hosting their Break A Difference event at the Cincinnati Museum Center from 4 to 7pm. They will be doing some fun events--some where you can highlight your tech savvy...some where none is required. But all of which will be fun and will provide some hands-on opportunities to experience with technology. To encourage youth to participate in this event, we will not have our regular Omni meeting on the 16th and this meeting will take its place (read: mandatory). This event is open for students between 6th and 12th grades, so if you have siblings that are in that age group and are not in the program, they are welcome to join. Please be sure to RSVP by September 13th. Information and release forms for the event are available under "Current Documents".
  • MNHS YOUTH - Great Outdoor Weekend is on Saturday, September 26th and Sunday, September 27th.
  • There will be a SAT/ACT practice test session on Sunday, September 27th from 2 to 5pm. Please RSVP to Youth Programs staff by September 20th if you plan to attend.
  • 2nd Semester Grades...you know the ones you got at the end of last school year...yeah those...we should have them by now. Especially since you are about to start a new school year! You will be taken off the September schedule until your grades have been turned in. New youth - the grades that you turned in with your applications do not count. They need to be the grades for the completion of the school year.
  • Looking ahead...MNHS YOUTH - Fossil Fest will be on Saturday, October 17th. Volunteers will be needed that day. More information to follow!
  • Looking ahead...MNHS YOUTH - Batfest will be on Saturday, October 24. Volunteers will be needed that day. More information to follow!
  • Looking ahead...The YAC Fall Overnight will be from Saturday, October 24th @ 6pm to Sunday, October 25th @ 9am.
