  • Day Camps needs help with After-Care from 2:45pm to 5:30pm this week and next week. If you are available or you are interested, please let Youth Programs staff know ASAP, especially if you are scheduled to be on the floor so we can adjust your schedule. This would be a huge help! Thank you!
  • All Youth Supplemental Training is on Wednesday, August 12th from 10-1pm (If you are not working on the floor that day, pick-up will be at 12:30pm). Again, this is a MANDATORY training. It is your responsibility to notify Youth Programs staff if you are unable to attend, otherwise it will count against you as a No Show.
  • CHM YOUTH - 1940's Weekend is August 15th and 16th. If you have not yet signed up in Youthville, please do so ASAP. We need as many volunteers as possible to ensure that our guests have the best experience reliving the 1940s here at Union Terminal.
  • The End of Summer Cookout will be on Wednesday, August 19th from 4 to 6pm. We will not have an Omni meeting that day, but instead we will have hamburgers and hot dogs, play a few games, spend time with new friends made over the summer and send off our seniors and senior mentors as they go off to college!
  • Our next Free Friday is on August 21st from 4 to 8pm. If you have not signed up already, please make sure you send an e-mail to Youth Programs staff letting us know that you are available on the day. The remaining dates for Free Friday are September 11th and October 23rd so you can plan ahead.

  • YouthAlive! will be having a meeting on Wednesday, August 12th from 4 to 5pm and Seasongood will be meeting from 5 to 6pm. Seasongood chooses a topic for each grant cycle and looks at the role of local, regional and national government as it relates to these topics. This cycle we are looking at economic growth in Cincinnati, looking specifically at the economic impact of the Banks, the Over-the-Rhine revitalization, the reconstruction of the Brent Spence Bridge and other riverfront development. If you are interested in joining either group, please join us on August 12th!
  • 2nd Semester Grades...you know the ones you got at the end of last school year...yeah those...we should have them by now. Especially since you are about to start a new school year! Please have those grades in by August Omni, or else you will be taken off the remaining August schedule and September schedule. New youth - the grades that you turned in with your applications do not count. They need to be the grades for the completion of the school year. 2014 Seniors - You do not need to turn grades in :-)
  • Looking ahead...The Cincinnati Multicultural Scholarship Foundation will be hosting the Scholarship Fair at  CMC on Wednesday, September 16th from 10am to 2pm. This is a great opportunity to talk to college representatives about admission to their various schools. Some schools even give scholarships on the spots. More information to follow!
  • Looking ahead...There is the possibility of an event hosted by Best Buy on Wednesday, September 23rd from 4 to 7pm which will focus on STEM and give you the opportunity to do some hands on things. This will be for CMC Youth, but is open to youth from 6th grade to 12th grade. So if you have siblings that are in that age group, but are not in Youth Programs, they would be welcome to attend. More information to follow!
  • Looking ahead...MNHS YOUTH - Batfest will be on Saturday, October 24. Volunteers will be needed that day. More information to follow!
