  • August Schedule Requests are due on July 15th. They can be found on the blog under "Current Documents" or in Youthville.
  • Please remember that you need to be here at 10:30, 11:30 or 12:30 depending on what time your shift begins. If you are running late, please call the cell phone and let us know what time you will be here. If you are calling off, please do not send an e-mail. Please call the hotline and leave a message. You will be considered a no-show if you do not call the hotline.
  • NEW YOUTH! Don't forget that your Museum Choice Essays are due on Thursday, July 2nd. You can give it a Youth Programs staff member or send it via e-mail. You will be notified of your museum placements on Tuesday, July 7th in Reakirt Auditorium. • Please remember that CMC is closed to the public on Sunday, July 12th. There will be no youth on the floor that day and MNHS Supplemental Training will be rescheduled to a later date.
  • Eco-Challenge is coming up on Wednesday, July 15th. Eco-Challenge is our annual field day that takes place at Fernbank Park. We spend the day participating in physical and mental challenges, fostering team work and of course, having fun! Permission slips are available in Youthville and on the blog under "Current Documents".
  • On Sunday, July 19th, the Cincinnati Museum Center will be hosting a special event for attendees of the 2015 Association of Midwest Museums Conference: Communicating the Value of Museums. Attendees will be enjoying an evening at CMC that includes refreshments and time to tour each of the three museums. We are still looking for youth to volunteer in each of the museums on this evening. This will be a great opportunity to talk to people who work in other museums and show off all that we have to offer here at CMC. The event takes place from 6 to 9:15pm.
  • For those youth participating in the Camp Joy Leadership Retreat (July 24-25), please be sure to turn in your permission slips (they were sent via e-mail) ASAP!
  • Free Fridays are back! The next Free Friday is July 24. Free Fridays take place from 4 to 8pm. While paid youth are required to work 2 Free Fridays a summer, all youth who are available to volunteer on those days should sign up to work as well!

  • Youth Break will be from July 26 to August 2. During that time, there will be no youth on the floor . Hocking Hills will take place during the break from July 28th to July 30th.
  • Breakroom Kitchen Rules: Over the weekend there were quite a few mugs, bowls, plates and utenstils left in the sink in the kitchen. If you are using any of them, it is your responsibility to either put them in the dishwasher or clean them and place them back in the cupboard or drawers. Should we continue to have issues with the sink being left dirty, we will now be able to allow youth use anything in kitchen. Please help us keep the kitchen clean!
  • Please be sure to turn in your 2nd semester grades at the end of the school year, either via e-mail, or to a Youth Programs staff member.
